The mission of the Chelsea Education Foundation is to enhance the Chelsea School District’s educational experiences by financing projects beyond the resources of the district and by providing scholarships to the district graduates.
Overview
The foundation is looking for someone to assist the Board of Directors in a variety of projects or committees. The foundation is beginning to implement donor relationship management software to enhance our engagement with our generous donors, connect with alumni, and manage event registrations. The software also enables our ability to create marketing campaigns. We are looking for someone with experience with donor management or customer relationship software and who has marketing skills that can support our implementation for the next 12 months.
Job duties
Play a key role in implementing the CRM donor management software (www.salsalabs.com)
Maintain software data to maximize strategic use of donor information
Process all cash, credit card, in-kind, stock contributions in (Salsa) by entering gift and donor details
Create and schedule giving campaigns within Salsa including social media posts, email solicitations and receipts via thank you letters
Develop and document all internal processes and procedures for Salsa
Develop strategy and implement stewardship plan for all levels of donors
Create filters and generate reports from Salsa as requested by CEF Executive Committee and Board
Produce foundation forms, flyers and marketing materials as requested
Generate mailing lists and labels and assist with mailings for all CEF events
Assist the grant and scholarship committees with the process of applications to awarding.
Support executive committee meetings as well as monthly board meetings.
Special projects to include:
Corporate Sponsors – Work with CEF Donor Committee and Executive Committee on developing process for corporate sponsorships.
Volunteers – Work with CEF Volunteer Committee and Executive Committee to maintain current volunteer information, track volunteer activities in donor database and acknowledge volunteers
Events – Work with CEF Events Committee and Executive Committee to organize and track event information in the database

Experience with Quick Books, CRM systems, Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Word, and Canva
Estimated Time Commitment
Estimated average of 8-10 hours a week during contract period
Hourly rate $15-$18 depending on experience
