CEF Committees develop and make operational and policy recommendations to the full board. The following is a brief summary of the respective responsibilities:
Scholarship - selects from applications submitted by Chelsea graduating students and recently graduated students who are currently attending or who will be attending an institution of higher learning later in the year in which the award is granted. The focus is on awarding to students with outstanding academic performance. Typically meet two times in the Spring.
Grant - selects from applications submitted by Chelsea School District teachers. The grant must be made for the benefit of current students of the Chelsea School District to enhance their academic, social, and emotional development. Typically meet two times in the Fall.
Finance – operations of the organization including but not limited to preparing and presenting the annual budget. Meets monthly. All Executive Committee, plus additional
Marketing / Communications - works with CEF’s Strategic Marketing firm to prioritize all aspects of digital and print media to advance the mission of CEF. Meets monthly.
Events –Selects the annual gala venue, secures auction items and vendors. Meets as needed beginning November through March.
Gala – a sub-committee of the Marketing Committee and selects the annual gala venue, secures sponsors and vendors. Meets as needed beginning November through March.
Policy/Bylaws - establishes the need for, and submits to the full Board, all organizational policies. Meets as needed. Executive Committee.
