Fundraising ends on October 25 at halftime of the
Dexter VS Chelsea Football Game.
Chelsea Bulldogs and the Dexter Dreadnaughts
will go head-to-head to raise money for their Education Foundations!

The fundraising kicks off October 1, 2024, and will culminate at the October 25 game in Dexter. The two Foundations will compete to see who can raise the most money up to and at the game!​​

Chelsea Education Foundation (CEF) and the Educational Foundation of Dexter (EFD) are once again joining forces to raise vital funds for educational grants in their respective communities. This impactful fundraising campaign begins October 1, 2024, culminating in a thrilling halftime event at the Dexter vs Chelsea football game on October 25 at Jerry Niehaus Stadium in Chelsea. The stakes are high, the rivalry is fierce, and the impact is real. This is your chance to make a tangible difference for our students, teachers, and staff!
The Rivalry Match tradition has become a treasured community event. In 2019, the inaugural match raised over $10,000 for both non-profit organizations. After a brief hiatus in 2020, the tradition made a triumphant return in 2021. That year, the match yielded a combined total of $45,662, with CEF securing the title by raising $24,099 compared to EFD's $21,563.
However, it was in 2022 that community support truly soared, resulting in a record-breaking combined total of $97,751. CEF emerged victorious once again, raising $50,072, while EFD garnered $47,679.
In the 2023 Rivalry Match, Dexter countered back with a victorious $25,288 vs Chelsea’s $15,504 bringing the title back to Dexter.

​The total raised to date is a remarkable $194,000, 2024 is a tie-breaking year for the two foundations.
